On a pitch that was slow and low, Wayamba bowled extremely well and never allowed Victoria to settle into a rhythm. Brad Hodge was the lone warrior but even he could only manage 44 after coming in as opener and staying unbeaten till the end. Chanaka picked up two wickets but the addition of Herath made the big difference as he put the brakes on the scoring rate. Victorian Bushrangers will go into the next round, along with Delhi Daredevils, from this group. Sadly for Wayamba they will go home after a bittersweet tournament.
